Introduction :

Best known for her romantic comedies, filmmaker Mabel Cheung turns her lens on a group of schoolgirls at her alma mater for her latest coming-of-age documentary. Her camera follows six secondary school students for over a decade to witness the agony and ecstasy of growing up during a turbulent time in Hong Kong. As the girls find their own paths, they must come to terms with their family, their city, their future, and the making of this film. The screening on 7 January will be followed by a post-screening talk in Cantonese with director Mabel Cheung and M+ Curator of Hong Kong Film and Media Li Cheuk-to.
